On Wednesday, technology giant Google revealed its latest foray into the advanced artificial intelligence space with the launch of its new AI model, Gemini.
According to Google, Gemini will be a “multimodal” AI, meaning it will be able to process text, video, photo, video and programming code, as well as combine them together.
Google characterized Gemini as its “largest and most capable AI model” and reportedly plans to integrate the technology into the company’s smartphone and applications.
“This new era of models represents one of the biggest science and engineering efforts we’ve undertaken as a company,” said Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
