According to the International Air Transport Association, the air travel industry is predicted to pull in $25.7 billion in net profits during 2024.
This marks a 2.7% net profit margin increase from 2023.
Likewise, the travel industry’s total revenue is expected to reach $964 billion on the back of 4.7 billion travelers, a new industry record.
“The speed of the recovery has been extraordinary; yet it also appears that the pandemic has cost aviation about four years of growth,” said IATA Director General Willie Walsh. “From 2024 the outlook indicates that we can expect more normal growth patterns for both passenger and cargo.”
