How to stop ‘doomscrolling’ and get the sleep you need: Radio Davos
Share on LinkedinShare on WhatsApp

Mental health has been challenged by the pandemic – thanks, in part, to disruptions in rest and sleep.

In this episode of Radio Davos, two medical experts define particular challenges in getting the right kind fo rest and serve up some tips we might all use.

In part one, Ariane Ling, a psychologist at NYU Langone Health, talks about ‘doomscrolling‘ – the act of getting hooked into scrolling through bad news on your phone.

Ling explains what it is, why it exists and what we can do to combat it.

In the second half, Saundra Dalton-Smith, physician and author of the book Sacred Rest, tells us why she has defined seven different types of rest that we all need.

By Robin Pomeroy, Digital Editor, World Economic Forum.
