Barbie may earn highest domestic box office of the year
Share on LinkedinShare on WhatsApp

Summer blockbuster ‘Barbie’ is on track to be the highest grossing movie at the U.S. box office in 2023.

The movie is $48 million away from beating out “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” for the top domestic spot.

‘Barbie’ has already broken barriers as one of only 50 films to reach $1 billion at the global box office.

The comedy was bolstered by the ‘Barbenheimer’ double-feature cultural phenomenon, which also pushed Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ above its initial anticipated earnings.
