According to projections from GasBuddy, U.S. gas prices are expected to fall in 2024 for the second consecutive year in a row.
GasBuddy’s estimates say that gas will cost $3.38 per gallon on average during the coming year, down from 2023’s $3.51 per gallon average.
The shifting prices are also estimated to cause Americans to spend $32 billion less on fuel than during 2023.
“Next year should represent a continued march towards what most Americans would consider normal prices at the pump,” said GasBunny head analyst Patrick De Haan.
