Apple said it will not produce the 400,000 Vision Pro units it had originally anticipated for this year after manufacturers reported that they are struggling with the gadget’s complex design.
The $3,499 headset is being produced by two China-based suppliers of components that said they could only manufacture 130,000 to 150,000 units, respectively, during the first year
Also, Apple said that plans for a cheaper version of the Vision Pro have been pushed back.
Apple shares were little changed in premarket trading after the announcement,
