With the latest National Basketball Association season ready to kick off, NBA leadership is aiming to get the entire world to play ball.

According to the NBA, the league expects fans from a record 214 countries to tune into games this season, viewership only booned by the new high of 125 international players expected to play on opening-night rosters.

To keep boosting international interest, the NBA is implementing a three-tiered plan to give greater primetime access to games in overseas markets, grow its kid-oriented programs and dial-in focus on specific regions, such as India.

As international viewership continues to climb, the NBA’s increased emphasis on its global audience could be a real gamechanger in the league’s impact around the world.
