U.S. airline United Airlines is changing the way customers can earn elite status through credit card spending, the company announced Thursday.
Holders of United Airlines-branded Chase credit cards will now earn 25 points per $500 spent beginning in 2024, compared to its current 500 points per $12,000 spent.
Likewise, United will reportedly get rid of the caps for credit card spending contributions toward elite status.
The news comes following a slew of recent elite status reward programs changes implemented by other major airlines, such as Delta Air Lines, earlier this year.
