The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is adding first-ever route to Portofino on the Italian Riviera this summer.
The luxury train will leave Paris in the afternoon pass through the French countryside and arrive in Portofino the following day, with passengers staying for two nights in an oceanfront hotel.
Fares will start around $8,525.09 based on double occupancy, and that includes meals, wines, soft drinks, the hotel stay and a gala dinner.
The initial trip will take place June 20-23 and the company plans to offer the trip annually.
