The Vatican is switching its fleet of vehicles from traditional combustion engines to all-electric, the Vatican announced Thursday.
The revamped fleet will reportedly be made up exclusively of Volkswagen vehicles.
The first two cars in the fleet, Volkswagen ID.3 compact cars, have reportedly already arrived at the Vatican.
The move comes as the Vatican aims to cut its carbon emissions and conduct more environmentally friendly operations.
