Deep freezing could save coral reefs’ futures

According to a new study, cryogenically freezing coral reefs could be the solution to save the underwater ecosystems from rising ocean temperatures.

Scientists reportedly brought a piece of coral back to life after freezing it at -196 degrees Celsius.

Likewise, this new freezing methodology could help scientists save specific genetic variations of coral species.

Considering that coral reefs support nearly a quarter of all marine life, preserving them for the future through cryogenics could be a solution for the long-term health of the ocean.
