According to a new survey conducted by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, an increasing number of Americans believe in climate change following a summer of extreme weather.
The data revealed that 87% of Americans have lived through at least one extreme meteorological event in the last five years, up 8% from the same survey in April.
Of those 87% Americans, approximately 75% believe the extreme weather was caused – at least partially – by climate change.
The findings come after the Northern Hemisphere’s hottest summer ever recorded by the World Meteorological Organization.
