Women lead Instagram’s rich list of 2017

Celebrities make serious money off Instagram, the trending visual channel.

Women figure at the front-line of Instagram´s rich list of 2017.

Through the image-sharing social network, celebrities and influencers are making serious money off of paid advertising. Since Instagram recently asked users who post sponsored content to clearly show they are being paid, Hopper Headquarters analyzed the available data and results showed the ladies are ahead in the list of highest paid personalities on the site.

The Hopper report shows Selena Gomez as the highest celebrity earner on Instagram´s rich list as she collects an estimate of $550,000 per post, being also the most followed person in the social platform. At second and third place we find Kim Kardashian with a total of $500,00 in revenue, and the Real Madrid footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, the one of two men present on the list, with a total of $410,000 dollars per post.

Following the three major Instagram rich-kids, we see Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid and Lebron James in that order. King James sits on position number 10 with a total revenue of 120,000 dollars per post, gathering a total of 30.7 million followers.

With the passing of time, Instagram has become an effective marketing tool for brands as well as an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to live off and make a career out of “gramming”, as Mike Bandar, co-founder of HopperHQ.com once stated.

With over 700 million monthly active users in the network, 90% of them under 35 years old, Instagram has achieved large valuations and a face-to-face encounter with older and larger competitors by combining creativity, easy use, connection and management in a mobile app, making it a good-for-business app that can help expand growing rates for almost any company on the marker.
