Sofia Vergara leads Forbes’ ranking of highest-paid television actresses around the world.
For the seventh year in a row, Sofia Vergara is the highest-paid actress on T.V., earning $42.5 million between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018.
The Modern Family Star came first primarily thanks to her role in the ABC comedy, a long list of endorsements and licensing deals with furniture chain Rooms To Go also accounts for nearly half of her earnings.
Vergara’s fortune clocks in at 73% more than second-ranked Kaley Cuoco, who stars in The Big Bang Theory, she collected $24.5 million. According to Forbes, 95% of Cuoco’s earnings can be attributed to her role in the show.
Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo, who has played Meredith Grey for 15 seasons, ranks third with $23.5 million. Law & Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay is fourth with $13 million, while Modern Family’s Julie Bowen ranks fifth with $12.5 million. Both forgo endorsements and instead make their cash on screen.
Together, the world’s 10 highest-paid TV actresses earned a combined $168.5 million between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018, up from $156.5 million in the same period last year.
