On Thursday, auto-making giant Honda filed a notice with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announcing a recall of approximately 250,000 of its vehicles.
Certain Acura, Odyssey, MDX, Pilot, and Ridgeline models are reportedly affected by an engine connecting rod issue that could cause the engine to “run improperly or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury.”
Honda said that owners with affected vehicles will be able to have their engines inspected and replaced at a local dealer, with notifications set to be sent out to drivers in January.
This marks Honda’s 14th – and fifth-largest – recall of the year.
