Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, announced it may start collecting its users’ biometric data and work information in the near future.
The news was revealed to platform users through a privacy policy update at the end of last week.
“Based on your consent, we may collect and use your biometric information for safety, security, and identification purposes,” said X’s update.
X may reportedly share users’ employment information with third-party recruiters and expand targeted advertising.
