U.S. microchip manufacturer Intel is throwing its hat into the artificial intelligence race with the launch of its proprietary AI chip, the company announced Thursday.
Intel’s so-called Gaudi3 chip will purportedly rival the power of AI chips developed by fellow manufacturers Nvidia and AMD.
Gaudi3 is expected to officially launch for sale at some point in 2024.
Following the news of the chip’s release, Intel stock bumped 1% during trading on Thursday.
