Technology giant Amazon warned its remote workers on Friday that a failure to return to the office could hinder their upward mobility at the company.
According to Amazon, any employee who fails to return to the office three days per week as mandated by the company will have any potential promotion go through an extra layer of leadership approval.
“Like any company, we expect employees who are being considered for promotion to comply with company guidelines and policies,” said Amazon spokesperson Brad Glasser.
Amazon announced its three-day in-office weekly minimum back in February, three years after the inception of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
