Despite having already made a major name for itself in the land of fast food, McDonald’s latest venture is aiming to take the company’s presence in the U.S. coffee market to atmospheric new heights.
CosMc’s, McDonald’s first spin off chain, is set to offer customers an array of highly customizable caffeinated beverages, alongside a selection of snacks, as the company looks to take advantage of the beverage industry’s huge profit margins and compete with industry he.
“There’s no category that has really performed better this year than specialty coffee,” said Circana Senior Vice President David Portalatin.
With the first CosMc’s location now operating in Illinois and nine more set to open in Texas in the coming months, it remains to be seen if CosMc’s impact on McDonald’s revenue sends the company over the moon.
