While U.S. consumers have been tightening their wallets following a summer of “revenge spending,” it seems that purchasing well-made and in-style items is still completely on trend.
Retailers like Abercrombie & Fitch, which has markedly improved its clothing offerings in recent years, experienced a 16% jump in sales last quarter amid an overall sluggish retail market.
Likewise, perennially popular luxury sportswear company Lululemon grew 11% in sales last quarter.
Though Americans may be turning away from buying non essential items, it looks like trendy items are still considered well worth the price.
