According to a late-stage clinical trial released Friday, popular weight loss drug Wegovy may help relieve heart failure symptoms in obese people.
The semaglutide injection reportedly reduces fatigue, swelling legs, shortness of breath and irregular heart patterns.
Likewise, Wegovy was found to lead to lower blood pressure and inflammation reduction.
Recent data from Wegovy manufacturer Novo Nordisk also revealed that the weight loss drug reduces the risk of serious heart issues by 20%.
