Trump warns of ‘higher level and intensity’ of bombings if peace deal is not reached

U.S. President Donald Trump has made a Truth Social post stating that Iran will face bombing “at a much higher level and intensity” if it refuses to accept a peace deal.

The President wrote: “Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been agreed to, which is, perhaps, a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end, and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran. If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

His post followed market reactions to reports indicating that the U.S. and Iran were near an agreement to end their two-month conflict.

Before President Trump’s comments, oil prices declined sharply on Wednesday morning, while U.S. stock futures, European equities, and global sovereign bonds all rallied.

An Iran foreign ministry spokesperson has verified they are currently reviewing a 14-article peace plan from the U.S.
