After 35 years of operations, luxury retailer Nordstrom shuttered the doors of its five-story San Francisco location on Sunday.
According to Nordstrom, the department store closure came as the “dynamics of the downtown San Francisco market have changed dramatically over the past several years, impacting customer foot traffic to our stores and our ability to operate successfully.”
Nordstrom had previously announced the store’s anticipated closure back in May.
The move comes as numerous retailers have elected to exit San Francisco amid falling sales.
