A top-tier, line-skipping upgrade will retail for as much as $449 per person on top of park admission, according to Walt Disney Co.
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass pilot program will begin next Wednesday in Disneyland, California, and on Oct. 30 in Disney World Resort, Florida.
The new Premier Pass is the highest tier of Lightning Lane passes, allowing holders to enter without specifying arrival times and access shorter lines at Disney World parks. Prices range from $129 to $449, with peak prices on high-traffic days. At Disneyland Resort, the pass costs $400 through the end of the year, and is estimated to be $300 to $400 in early 2025.
According to park websites, the passes will be available in “very limited” quantities.
Recently, Disney Parks have faced fan criticism after balancing long wait times—up to two hours and longer for popular rides. The Lightning Lane Premier Pass aims to reduce these issues for its customers; however, with current economic pressures forcing the average American family to make cutbacks, it remains uncertain how successful this change will be.
