For the first time in over a year, Ark Investment Management’s Cathie Wood has let go of her company’s large stake in Meta.
This week, Ark sold 12,595 Meta shares on March 17 and 2,160 on March 18. The shares were sold at a closing price of $604.90, valuing the trade at approximately $7.62 million.
As of December 31st 2024, Ark held 460,000 shares of the Facebook parent company.
So far in 2025, Ark’s funds have lost 15%.
Wood’s actions raise alarm bells for the fortunes of U.S. big tech companies. Last Tuesday, the company also sold 203,659 Block Inc. shares, worth $29 million.
Meta shares have fallen a total of 16% this year.
