LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton announced the appointment of Laura Burdese as Chief Executive Officer of its Italian high jewelry chain, Bvlgari.
Burdese has been Deputy CEO of Bvlgari since July 2024. She joined Bvlgari in 2022, where she oversaw marketing and communications, leading the brand’s recent transformation and elevation.
As part of this leadership change, CEO of Bvlgari since 2013 Jean-Christophe Babin, will step down from his role but will remain influential within the Maison as Chairman of the Bvlgari Board, CEO of the Bvlgari Hotel division, and President of the Bvlgari Foundation.
In a statement, Stéphane Bianchi, LVMH group managing director, said, “To sustain and orchestrate the brand elevation of the iconic Roman jewelry maison. The nomination of Laura, while opening a new chapter for Bulgari, is a tribute to her strong contribution and accomplishments.”
“Jean-Christophe has shaped the success of Tag Heuer and Bulgari while creating unique paths within their respective industries. I am confident that in his new missions, he will bring the same energy and keep on supporting LVMH and its maisons thanks to his extraordinary vision.”
