The New Delta One Lounge at LAX Has 10,000 Square Feet of High-End Amenities

Delta has finally rolled out the red carpet at LAX.

On Tuesday, the airline opened its brand-new Delta One Lounge at the Los Angeles airport. The premium lounge follows the first location at JFK, but has design cues and amenities unique to (and inspired by) the City of Angels.

“From JFK to LAX, the opening of this lounge allows us to offer our customers a premium experience from coast to coast,” Claude Roussel, the vice president of Delta Sky Clubs and lounge experience, said in a statement. “With a menu designed for our most discerning guests and the dedicated, individualized hospitality curated exclusively for our Delta One Lounges, our teams continue to raise the bar on service and elevate what an airport lounge can be.”

After checking in via Delta One’s curbside service, you can step right into the new lounge, as the two are directly connected. You’ll first notice the L.A.-influenced design, with sunset and coastal hues meant to evoke the Southern California landscape. The space takes advantage of the area’s climate: It has a landscaped terrace that has seating for 26 travelers, decorated with accessories from Missoni, which created the new in-flight amenity kit for Delta One passengers. The brand’s vases, pillows, and books also adorn the library lounge inside.

Taking up more than 10,000 square feet and with seating for almost 200 guests, the Delta One Lounge offers a spacious respite in an otherwise busy airport. The relatively small number of people allowed also means that you can enjoy attended service for all food and drink. The space will serve a rotating menu with dishes including pan-roasted salmon, roasted corn pizza, and crispy duck tacos. Plus, there’s an LAX-exclusive year-round sushi bar for you to indulge in. Signature cocktails, meanwhile, are represented by airport codes, with the flavors paying homage to Delta’s different destinations.

If you’re aiming to use the Delta One Lounge to relax, the airline has got you covered for that too. A wellness room features eight private relaxation pods with zero-gravity and massage chairs. Hyperice percussion guns and compression boots are also available upon request. A rolling wellness cart will circuit the lounge, providing guests with spa water, oshibori towels, and Grown Alchemist samples.

The only downside we can see so far? The lounge amenities are so ample, you may be tempted to miss your flight in order to keep enjoying them.
