On Thursday, U.S. airline Southwest Airlines announced it will be cutting down its growth plans for the upcoming year.
The airline now expects to expand 10% to 12% during the first quarter of 2024, down from a previous 16% forecast.
According to Southwest, the airline expects to grow between 6% and 8% across the course of the year.
Southwest cited lowered consumer travel demand as the reasoning behind its decision.
