After much controversy surrounding its decision to alter its SkyMiles frequent flyer program, Delta Air Lines announced it will be “modifying” its loyalty program further to make it more accessible for customers.
The previously implemented changes made it more difficult and expensive to achieve elite flyer status.
“No question we probably went too far,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian.
Bastian said the modifications to the SkyMiles program will be announced in upcoming weeks.
