Wall Street went from mixed to positive on Tuesday as inflation control dissipates as the main priority of Fed policy.
At the end of the session the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.2% to 42208.22, the Standard and Poor’s 500 rose 0.25% to reach 5732.93 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.56% to reach 18074.52 to once more reach record highs.
The Nasdaq remains 3% shy of July’s record high.
Investor considered that housing prices rose in line with expectations. However, September’s consumer confidence figures were lower than expected and showed their greatest decline in three years
