On Sunday, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan announced that the PGA and LIV Golf are working together to extend their merger plans into 2024.
The two leagues previously had a deadline of Dec. 31, 2023, to complete the merger.
“While we had initially set a deadline of December 31, 2023, to reach an agreement, we are working to extend our negotiations into next year based on the progress we have made to date,” said Monahan in a memo.
The PGA and LIV are expected to finalize their joint decision before the Master’s tournament in April.
