U.S. automaking giant Stellantis is offering half of its salaried employees buyouts, the company announced Monday.
The buyouts are available to roughly 6,400 of Stellantis’ 12,700 non-unionized staffers as the company aims to reduce operational costs.
“As the U.S. automotive industry continues to face challenging market conditions, Stellantis is taking the necessary structural actions to protect our operations and the Company,” Stellantis said in a public statement.
Stellantis previously offered buyouts to 33,500 staff members back in April.
