U.S. airline Southwest Airlines is reportedly close to reaching a deal with its pilots’ labor unions following months of tense negotiations.
The proposed contract will purportedly result in pay raises for Southwest’s 11,000-plus pilots.
Southwest previously reached a new labor deal with its flight attendants that resulted in a 34% wage increase for the cabin crew staff.
Other U.S. airline giants, such as Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and American Airlines, all reached multi-billion-dollar labor deals with their pilots earlier in the year.
