U.S. airline giant Delta Air Lines has officially reversed some of the controversial changes it recently made to its loyalty program, just weeks after CEO Ed Bastian admitted the company went “too far” with its tweaks.
“I have read hundreds of your emails, and what’s been most clear to me is how much you love Delta and the disappointment many of you felt by the significance of the changes,” Bastian said in an email to customers Wednesday.
As a result, Delta upped the number of times Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card holders will be able to access the airline’s SkyClub airport lounges from 10 times to 15 times per year, featuring unlimited visits for the entire day.
Likewise, Delta lowered the number of Medallion Qualifying Dollars customers are required to earn to earn elite status with the airline.
