Major chipmaker Nvidia announced its new graphics processing unit, the H200 chip, to the public on Monday.

The chip is designed specifically for training and operating artificial intelligence models and is set to cost between $25,000 and $40,000.

The H200 is expected to be twice as powerful as its predecessor, the H100, which is currently used to power blockbuster AI chatbot ChatGPT-4.

Nvidia’s new GPU is anticipated to ship out during the second quarter of 2024.
