According to a new filing Monday, technology giant Apple has received approval on its fix for the U.S. ban on the company’s Apple Watch.
The fix comes after Apple was sued for patent infringement for including a pulse oximeter in its latest Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 releases.
Now, Apple’s update will eliminate Apple Watch users’ ability to check their blood oxygen through the removal of the patent-protected pulse oximeter technology.
Once implemented, Apple will be allowed to import the latest Apple Watches into the United States again.
