When it comes to taking care of its signature Clydesdales, beer manufacturer Anheuser-Busch has decided it’s no longer horsing around.
Anheuser-Busch has cut the tails of the Clydesdales used in its commercials and promotional events for decades, a practice that often severs the horse’s tailbone.
The controversial Clydesdale “docking” went on to draw the ire of animal rights groups like PETA, culminating in Anheuser-Busch’s Wednesday announcement that it had officially ended the tail cutting practice earlier this year.
Now, it seems Anheuser-Busch has elected to get off its high horse and treat its Clydesdales with dignity instead.
