The US Treasury department kept up the pressure on the Russian economy by subjecting a global network of individuals and companies linked to Serniya Engineering allegedly operating under the direction of Russian intelligence services.
Among the sanctioned companies is Mikron, Russia’s largest chipmaker, according to CNBC. Another 13 indivudals and 20 companies were put on the sanctions list, as the Moscow-based Ozon bank was removed from the list.
The US also threatened India with sanctions over its stockpile of Russian weapons, this week, as well as sanctioning various Chinese officials in March over its treatment of the Uyghur minority.
