Shipping and receiving company UPS revealed the details behind its recent deal with the Teamsters Union, which represents 340,000 of the company’s workers.
According to UPS, company drivers will earn $170,000 per year on average by the end of their five-year contract once the deal is ratified.
This means an hourly wage hike to at least $21 per hour for part-time UPS workers and $49 an hour for full-time drivers.
Drivers will also earn reportedly benefits such as health care and pensions at the end of the contract.
