Today, the Trump Organization announced the creation of its “All American” service called Trump Mobile, marking the latest expansion of the Trump family business into tech and media.
The wireless service aims to become a significant rival of U.S. telecom providers such as AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
Speaking from a launch event at Trump Tower in New York, Donald Trump Jr. stated, “A big part of what we’ve done … has been focused on technology for people who have been underserved, whether that’s been in crypto or anything else, but one of the places where we felt there was lackluster performance was in the mobile industry.”
“With Trump Mobile, we’re going to be introducing an entire package of products that people can come, they can get telemedicine on their phone for one flat monthly fee, roadside assistance in their cars, unlimited texting to 100 countries around the world,” he concluded.
Today’s announcement was accompanied by the launch of the Trump Mobile website, which claims that users will receive coverage comparable to that of the three major U.S. telecommunications providers. The plan being advertised, called the “47 plan,” costs $47.45 per month, seemingly referencing President Donald Trump’s terms as the 45th and 47th president of the United States.
