Automaking giant Toyota announced the retro revamp of its Land Cruiser SUV on Wednesday, as well as the models’ rerelease in the U.S. market.
Toyota had pulled sales of its Land Cruiser models out of the United States three years prior.
However, renewed interest in off-road SUVS – like Ford’s popular relaunch of its Bronco model – prompted Toyota to offer Land Cruisers back to American consumers once again.
The new Land Cruiser redesign is more compact and retro than its previous iteration and will begin sales at $55,000 – $25,000 less than Toyota’s 2021 Land Cruiser model.
