Elon Musk in on a roll: Texas is poised to become the first U.S. state to mandate Tesla’s (TSLA) electric vehicle charging system, state officials announced Wednesday.
The ruling represents a big win for Musk, who is out to produce the industry-standard charging connector.
The Lone Star State’s ruling is expected to push other states to adopt the system, positioning Tesla’s NACS plug in a leadership as the provider of the national standard.
Tesla is also expected to benefit from China’s newly announced $72-billion tax break for EVs consumers.
