Tesla’s global deliveries increased by 83% in the second quarter of 2023, encouraged by price cuts and hefty discounts.
Tesla founder and owner Elon Musk said Sunday that the company delivered more than 466,000 vehicles to customers worldwide in the April-to-June period, a record quarter for sales.
Musk has bet on growth at the expense of profitability with an eye toward long-term benefits for the electric-car maker.
Investor confidence was rattled earlier this year after Tesla reported soft first-quarter results.
