One year after its passage, the $750 billion Inflation Reduction Act is anticipated to result in 86,000 new jobs across the United States, reported Bank of America.
The employment opportunities come from the 270 clean energy projects announced and $132 billion of private investment injected into the initiatives since the Inflation Reduction Act’s passage.
Approximately 50,000 of the 86,000 jobs are anticipated to be in the electric vehicle sector.
The Inflation Reduction Act, which is the biggest climate law passed in U.S. history, plans to reduce the nation’s carbon emissions by 40% by 2030.
