The so-called ‘Barbenheimer’ double-feature cultural phenomenon boosted movie theater chain AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. to its best earnings week in the company’s history.
AMC reportedly earned its highest single-week admissions revenue between July 21-27, coinciding with the release week of both Barbie and Oppenheimer.
This is the company’s most successful week since it first opened for business in 1920.
AMC’s recent success boosted the company’s trading shares up 7% late Monday.
