More than 11,000 employees of the city of Los Angeles are set to strike on Tuesday after reported “repeated labor law violations” by L.A. city management.
The striking workers, who are represented by SEIU Local 721, include members of the L.A. sanitation department and the Los Angeles International Airport.
According to a union rep, the group is set to strike for 24 hours and will hold picket lines in front of L.A. City Hall and outside of LAX.
The new labor movement joins the hotel workers’, writers’ and actors’ strikes ongoing in the California metropolis.
