While the U.S. box office has seemingly been suffering from audience’s sluggish interest in action movies, Japanese flick “Godzilla Minus One” is showing U.S. moviegoers are still interested in quality high-octane films.
Just by Thursday, “Godzilla Minus One” managed to pull in $15.7 million in the U.S. market – numbers surpassing the movie’s purported $15 million budget.
The movie has also registered near-perfect critic and audience scores on popular review site Rotten Tomatoes.
Meanwhile, the latest action installment of the Marvel franchise “The Marvels” has continued to falter at the U.S. box office as audiences continue to suffer from superhero movie fatigue.
