Automaking giant Toyota is recalling 1.8 million of its popular RAV4 models, the company announced Wednesday.
The recall reportedly affects RAV4s of model years between 2013 and 2018.
According to Toyota, the vehicles are at risk of catching fire due to a defect in replacement batteries.
Toyota went on to say it’s working on replacement parts that it will provide to drivers of affected RAV4s at no cost, and is expected to contact customers about the fixes in December.
