Variety discount chain Dollar General is bringing back its former CEO Todd Vasos, the company announced Thursday.
Vassos previously served as Dollar General CEO for seven years ahead of his 2022 retirement.
The returning CEO will take over from Jeff Owen, effective immediately.
Dollar General’s shares, which have struggled over the course of the past year, increased during after-hours trading Thursday following the announcement.
