On Friday, members from the United Auto Workers labor union began striking against big three U.S. automakers Stellantis, General Motors and Ford.
The strike came after automakers and the UAW failed to reach an agreement during contract negotiations.
The UAW’s “Stand Up Strike” staggers striking workers in specific auto plants across the country to give the union maximum “leverage and maximum flexibility” in resolving the dispute.
This marks the first time all big three automakers have been simultaneously struck by unionized workers.
